North Korea is often depicted as an entirely regimented and impervious place. Little do expect to find colour, warmth or hospitality beyond its self-isolating walls.

Within the limits of a strict itinerary and during celecrations for the 70th Anniversary of Liberation from the Japanese, Colourful Order seems to counter such conjectures by capturing the humanity and vibrancy of the people and places behind the veil of secrecy surrounding the country.
